My dog is still freaking out after being yelled at a week ago?

Well, you learned that dogs are sensitive and you will not get the best out of them by yelling at them. Some breeds take it more personal then others.

Well, now that the lesson is learned, time to calm the girl down. Dogs are very sensitive to smell. I would change my soap, perfume or cologne. Talk to her a LOT in a very kind voice(yes dogs love to be spoken to). Get to her on eye level and put your hand under her chin and let her smell your hand on her own will.

Also, when you look at her, slowly bat your eyes. This is a sign of affection in the animal kingdom.

Next, reward and treats never hurt.

Also, this is a big one. Take her to a dog park and let her be around other dogs while you are there. They need to be part of a pack and gain confidence from that.

These are the things I do when I want to win over the heart of a dog. I usually can get the most nervous dog licking my face within five mins ::
