Grumbacher Art Teacher Ad on Craigslist

A mocking email to a potential scam artist

Note: I am not one hundred percent sure that this was a scam. Yet, when someone takes the time to cut and past a long obnoxious email centering on paying money for a course and ultimately having to bring your own students when the work begins, use respectable company names such as: Michael’s and Grumbacher’s , I tend to return with something of greater or equal disrespect.

That is great! I am an artist that has been compared to Rembrandt. Many of my works can be seen on restaurant menus and in paint-by-numbers coloring books. I will be happy to teach your master class in art and I only ask for $243 an hour which is completely refundable if you sign-up for my premiere membership “drawing kids and animals without an ink pen”. This is a $1,000 dollar value and for a limited time you can get the whole package for only $9.99 a month plus shipping and handling.

Please let me know when I will begin and have a limo ready to take me to class.
Best Regards,
