Why is my 6-month-old puppy biting my furniture?

Every puppy I’ve ever had bit furniture. What is basically happening is that they are growing new teeth. They will chew on about everything because their gums are very itchy and they are actually scratching them in essence.

The problem is that this can become habit. First divert them away and give them a toy. Also, there are sprays out there that you can spray on the furniture that will have a repulsive smell and divert them to chew toys.

Place what ever else they may find interesting (like coke bottles, paper bags and toys) and get them use to chewing on things that they find more appealing anyway.

Most importantly. Get they to know the word NO every time you stop them from doing something. No augmented with a time out will always do the trick
